Instead of Afflictions, your heroes have a bonding mechanic. Sometimes you have the option to hire the bounty hunter, who will stick with you for one map. If they die, they are replaced at the next inn (If you make it that far). In this game, you pick your 4 heroes, and that's who you're working with for the selected campaign. The tedious repeat task of sending out a group of heroes that aren't your mains to earn gold to fix the afflictions and negative quirks of your "Main Heroes", just to get obliterated in the level 5 dungeons and do it all over again. For me, this game trumps the first one in almost every single way.ĭD2 takes out the strain of endless grinding. Then there are angry people who are disappointed that they didn't get a clone of Darkest Dungeon 1. ![]() There are a lot of reviews claiming that the game is too hard, too random and doesn't let you win. You can tell that a lot of love and care went into the making of this game. ![]()
